Man it went by in a heartbeat.   I seem to remember getting up around 6AM then it was 1AM today and I was climbing back into bed.  Where did it go?

Our life consists of a timeline.  It has neither a beginning nor an end.  All that we have is the current heartbeat – the present moment.  Looking backward does not matter.  Looking forward is not guaranteed.  Dwelling mindfully in the the present moment is what we are called to do.

since today is sort of an anniversary day. Here is what it said:

I was blown away by the pagentry of the Olympic opening ceremonies. A truly magnificent spectacle.

That the word “awesome” should be retired?  I remember “our” word when we were juniors/seniors in high school.  It was “well” and was used in response to a statement.  For example:  Did you hear what happened to John?  He fell off an amusement ride.  Wellllll (fading).

Let bring “well” back!!:  Wellllllll (fading again)  Ok, maybe not.

The one who enslaves or the one who frees?

Lately I have been checking my horoscope. And to my surprise have been adding new words to my vocabulary. For example: sextile and today quincunx. I frantically searched some of the major wholesale tile distributors but was unable to locate any sextile. Probably a good thing. And quincunx can only be some horoscope “put down” – “You, you, quincunx!!!” Although the horoscope did say that “Venus quincunx’d Jupiter”. I wonder? Is that even possible? Well perhaps it is if you lost your footing on the sextile.
